The group affairs are managed by volunteers elected annually by the group members. Without the following people giving there time there would be no group.

If you want to talk to someone about joining our group why not telephone us on 0779 558 534 and we will be more than happy to answer any of your questions. Alternatively come and meet us at the next meeting.

The Meeters and Greeters  

We currently have two 'welcomers' Reg. Melton and Vicky Croft. The role of these members is to welcome Visitors and new members to the group and to give information and advice to new associates wishing to take the advanced driving test.  

Don't feel intimidated if you wish to attend a meeting for the first time, seek out the meeters and greeters   

                                    

The Observers

All Observers have passed the IAM test and are volunteers who give their time for no reward other than the satisfaction of seeing their Associate pass the IAM test and become an Advanced Driver. They have all passed the Group Observer exam and undertake regular training to ensure that we maintain a high standard of  training.

The Senior Observers 

The main duties and responsibilities of the senior Observers are to develop an observer training strategy for the group   This includes organising observer training days, and checking that national and group guidelines are being adhered to by observers. These positions are held by Rob Blackshaw and Kim Clark

 

The Guidance Officer

The Guidance Officer allocates Observers to Associates. Provides members with information and guidance.

Newsletter Editor & Web Site

The Editor is responsible for producing the monthly  group newsletter and has the responsibility for the group web site.

Both contain Group and IAM House information together with articles of interest to the Group and its members. 

Full details of meetings, together with any guest speakers, and special events are also included

If you have anything that you wish to be included in  the monthly newsletter then e-mail
